Wollaston: Articles: Apprentice shoe-makers

After recruiting four young apprentices in 2012, Dr Martens has continued its apprenticeship scheme at its Cobbs Lane Factory in Wollaston. Throughout 2013 four new apprentices will learn about footwear manufacture, as well as the unique Dr. Martens manufacturing process.

On successful completion, the new recruits will achieve an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Footwear and be qualified to work as a Footwear Operative in the Wollaston factory specialising in Clicking, Closing, Lasting or Finishing.
