Nicholas Cooper is among the last of a generation of bespoke shoemakers who trained at the old footwear college in Wellingborough where he graduated with distinction.  Learning from the hands of master craftsmen, he created his own footwear lable Stamp Shoes.

In homage to the county’s historic footwear industry, each design in Nicholas’s debut collection was named after a street within the old boot and shoe quarter of Northampton.

Nicholas recently collaborated with British artist-designer Dominic Wilcox in the creation of NO PLACE LIKE HOME – a pair of handmade GPS shoes inspired by Dorothy’s red shoes in the Wizard of Oz and designed  to guide you home.

Exhibited in Northampton, London, New York and Milan, Wilcox’s NO PLACE LIKE HOME GPS shoes have been an international media sensation and the design highlight of the GLOBAL FOOTPRINT programme.
